Mt. Biking: Around Felixstowe Wind Direction: Wind Stength: Surf / Sea State: Air Temperature: Sea Temperature: Weather: sunny Max Speed: Distance Covered: 15 (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise)
After our second wet weekend in a row we are going a bit stir crazy stuck
on the settee all day :( so with bright sunshine today it was time to get
out on the bikes :) I packed a sandwich and we headed off at midday down
onto the prom and it was beautiful - sunny and a still sea and there were
several people about making up for yesterdays washout ! At the end of the
prom we headed through the docks, up the track to Station Road, Trimley
before setting off along the lovely but muddy tree path which brings you
out by Loampit Lake at Levington :) There was even someone fly fishing in
the lake and loads of geese. We stopped for ages at the marina picnic area
for lunch and to watch an egret feeding in the lagoon as the tide was high.
Then several Long tailed tits flow past in the trees behind us and a
kingfisher flashed by in front of us :) Then heading out of the marina and
back to Trimley sadly no Field fares, Red wings or Wax wings feeding on
the berries yet ! We turned left across the fields reaching Gulpher Road
and out by the beach near the golf course and home. A top 3 hours out in
the lovely winter sunshine :)
